After quite a few month heard about Broga, last Thursday was the day I went with my beloved boyfriend for a hike there.
Planned to leave the house at 5.30am, but only manage to left at 6.30am. It was our first attempt. Thought of to reach there before dawn, but leaving at 6.30am, for sure will miss the dawn (as I reached Semenyih at about 7.40am). Didn't get to the hilltop but manage to climb like 1.3km above the hill, and there were like another 0.5km left (total km is 1.7km). Saw the hilltop but if was so high and I couldn't climb anymore.
Well it was not because of the highness actually, but it is for the fact that I didn't have any breakfast first before the hike, and I didn't get enough sleep before (4 hours of not a good night sleep =|), so I started to felt dizzy after half hour hike and I didn't bring any water with me either. Funny isn't it? The 3 most important thing to do before went for a hike are the ones that I did not do.
After stop by stop made to calm my dizziness, I took about 1 hour to reach the hilltop side (which supposed to be only 30minutes hike all the way to the top). It was amazing to see the hilltop but sadly I have no choice but to end my journey as I was about to faint by the time I almost reach there. Since I could see that there are no place to stop along the hill track side for the next 0.5km, so I thought if I were to continue, I will definitely need a place to rest along the track side to stop my dizziness and keep up, but obviously I will not be able to do so of I go for it.
I am a bit disappointed but I am not giving up. I will definitely go for my 2nd attempt and that will definitely be until the hilltop. I wanted so bad to be on the hilltop but failed during the 1st attempt =/ so I will make sure that my 2nd attempt successful. I won't turn back, not until I reach the hilltop. And of course, I will get my breakfast first, eh no, I will get my 8 hours sleep, then wake up at 4am, leave at 5am, reach at 6am, get to the top at about 6.30am, and wait for dawn =) Then I will definitely be very happy, so I can back down the hill and perhaps went for a swim. That will be my 2nd attempt plan. And not forget, water....and some food. =p
