161112 - Happy Birthday Sayang

It has been months since I've been looking for the perfect cake to get to celebrate by syg's 23rd birthday this year.

Finally I manage to found it last Thursday (Nov 6th) and immediately make an order for collection for Nov 15th.

Thanks to Jez Boutique Cakes for completing the task of baking the cake I requested.
It was a beautiful cake. 500 grams Red Velvet. And he loves it.

I went out at 11am on the 15th fetching my friend Ramen to go for candle-hunting in Shah Alam as the cake will be collected in the area.

Collecting the cake at 2pm, and continue with the candle-hunting again.

Hard to find the perfect candles, ending up grilling into the most attractive candles with picks to make it stand-able on the cake without destroying the cake itself, which is successfully accomplished.

Bought the candles from The Baker's Cottage, and the picks next door.

Went for lunch with my friend, send her back, and off heading to my boyfriend's house to pick him up. Hide the cake at the back of my car. Hoping that he won't open it and find the cake there. =D

I can't place the candle's and birthday tag earlier because I won't be able to close the box's lid if I did.

I didn't manage to take a picture with the candle's and birthday tag after I placed it either before I surprises him, because I tried to make a quick digging at the back of my car to stick the tag and candles on the cake, lighting the candles, and take the cake out while he's in the car at the passenger's seat, and to avoid him from getting out of the car to see what I was doing, and because I also didn't thought of it.

But it looks so nice with the lighted candles on it. With the dark environment because it is a night time, and also a benefit that my car's internal light is not functioning.

I stick the candles on the top left of the cake, and the birthday tag on the top right next to the butterfly.

I also bought a choc imported from UK to accompany the cake. I like the packaging. There's other wishes on other packaging of the choc besides the one that I bought.

I surprise him with the cake on the eve of his birthday after dinner in PJ.
